Privacy

Short version: plans are not stored unless you save them, and we never ask who you are.

Building a plan

The plan is worked out from the form and shown back to you. It is not stored. The details are in the page address, so they can appear in your own browser history and in the server's standard access log, which the hosting server keeps for a short time.

Move Desk

A saved move stores what you entered (site name, switch time, the choices in the form), which steps you ticked and when, and any notes. There is no account, email or name. The desk's private key is kept in a cookie in your browser and in the link you save; the server stores only a one-way hash of it, so we cannot recover a lost link.

To limit abuse, the number of new desks and link tries per day is counted per address. The address is stored only as a salted hash and the counts are deleted after 3 days.

Cookies

Two cookies, both needed for the site to work: the Move Desk key (only once you open or save a desk) and a security token that protects forms. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.

Payments

Once checkout opens, PayPal handles payment. We would receive a subscription reference and its status, not your card details.

Keeping and deleting

You can delete your desk and everything in it at any time from the desk. Desks not opened for 400 days are deleted. Nightly database backups are kept for 14 days.
